Calling an Ambulance

When should I call an ambulance?

You should call an ambulance when a seizure is life-threatening. You will know it is life-threatening if:

  • The seizure lasts more than five minutes
  • If the person has one seizure after another without gaining consciousness between episodes.
  • If the seizure stops, but the person does not regain consciousness within 10-15 minutes.
