my story

ok here is my story, i will try to keep it brief but include all pertinent information.  any help/advice is TREMENDOUSLY welcome.

in may of 2004 when i was 21 i had a really bad fever while i was at a family wake.  i excused myself and went in to a bedroom and laid down.  i learned later that my sister found me on the floor unresponsive and so my family called 911.  i was rushed to the hospital and they told me i had a seizure.  then i saw a neurologist and tests were done and whatnot and everything came back negative.  i forgot that it ever happened, finished college, got a job, and moved on wiht my life.

ok so then just this past summer i started seeing a therapist for my anxiety/depresson (a lifelong problem).  he recommended i take medication for this and i started taking zoloft (which i bought on the internet and administered myself in terms of dosage, maybe a bad mistake).  i was on the zoloft and my life had changed dramatically for the better and i was feeling awesome.  then one night i woke up in my bed fully clothed and  went to the bathroom and started vomiting.  my tougue was bitten.  evidently i fell over in my chair in a room by my bedroom after having a seizure and then made it to my bed where  i fell asleep for awhile.  i went to the er, they ran a cat scan came back negative, then to a neurologist , they really didnt know what to do.  so again i forgot about the whole thing and conti nue d my life.

then a few weeks ago i woke up with a bite on my tougue that was definitely ca used by a seizure.  i went to the neurologist and they want me on medication, they tell me i cant drink, and that i cant drive.  i have an mri scheduled.  they also told me that it is    definitely not PNES (i was hoping it was) .   i am not scared at all,  but i need some advice.  i am still hoping that i just wont have any more seizures.  its just really weird how they happend 5 years apart.  i was prescribed depakote and i do not want to take it bc one of the side effects is hair loss and i definitely do not want to lose my hair.  so if there is anyone out there that could help i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
