Lamictal versus Lamictal ER

I just switched to lamictal, from depakote. I seem to be having breakthrough seizures right around the time that I take my dose 12 hours apart. So at 7am and 7 pm and I have most of my breakthrouhs in the morning and in the evening but at night and during the mid day Im fine. Anyone have positive experience with lamictal extended release (ER)? Im going to ask the Dr about it, just wondering if someone else noticed same thing.

Hey John... I participated in the Medication study for XR Lamictal. They wouldn't let me keep taking it after the study, so I had to go back to Lamotrigine (insurance stuff, ya know).
BUT IT HAS FINALLY COME OUT AND MY INSURANCE CO. APPROVED MY PRIOR AUTHORIZATION!!! It really helped me with break through type auras and IF I WAS CONSISTANT... it helped me stay steady. It decreases my hunger. My "want" to eat. I sometimes get ready for dinner and then sit and watch my family eat!! no complaints... just an FYI
