Hi, I'm suppose to take clobazam for 4 nights around my period, preferably starting 2 days before. Quite often this will stop the tonic clonic sz that always seems to hit the day before my period
problem is, while I used to be bang on 28 days so could usually get the dates right, it's now a bit more erratic so even being a day or 2 out either way can screw up my clobazam days and more often I'm not able to stop that TC.
Now that it's become guesswork I'm becoming tempted to give up on the clobazam. Does anyone here who uses clobazam for catamenial szs have problems getting the dates right? What do you do?

my seizures are the same way.I think mine come a couple days before my period.I am not taking anything right now cause i dont have insurance.Why cant u take it more then 4 days before your period?if you know about the time your period is coming take is like 6 or 7 days before then.I know what you mean about irregular periods cause mine have been messed up for the past 7 or 8 months.If you ever want or need to talk to someone about it feel free to email me at sktl4@yahoo.com,i hope this works out for you,i might look into it,thanks,Lisa
Hi Lisa, technically I could take clobazam for a week but I find that after 3-4 nights of it I get too zonked from the cumulative effect (I'm hypersensitive to aeds) so I have to stop taking it anyway. It didn't even work this month even though I actually got the dates right, so I might abandon it since I don't want to take drugs if I don't have to. Thanks for your reply.
