Lamictal vs. Keppra long term effects | epilepsy.com How Grow Taller.
I am on both of those medicine's. I don't know about the Lamictal. I would google it and maybe that will help. The Keppra is a very new drug so unless you talk to your doctor they probably don't know the long term effects yet.
I have only been able to find the short term effects on either of them.
My 12 yr old Grandaughter has been on Lamictal since Dec. A friend, told me that her daughter (9yrs old) who has the same type of Epilepsy was put on Keppra over the weekend. Dr. told her that it was a "kinder drug when it came to lungs, kidneys and liver". I'm just trying to find some info so our family will have intelligent questions to ask the Dr. about at the next appointment.
I will keep on looking and if I find anything I will post it here.
My son has been on Lamictal for about 4 months now and is stable. He is taking it in conjunction with Dilantin.
Because the Dilantin is bad for the Liver. My goal is to have himm totally off Dilantin because of the "liver"issue.
I can't think of any long term for Lamictal, it has been my savior the past 8 years, as for Keppra, I don't know if it has and effect on the body, I do know that if your freind has trouble sleeping give them a Keppra, they should be out like a light. "My side effect from Keppra anyway"
