Hey im ryan im almost 18 and have been having seizures since i was 15 roughly about every 6 months.I perosnaly consider myself to be outgoing and friendly.I had major plans to go into the british army at the age of 18 then persuing a career in the police service. Since 17 i have found out i will be unable to join the army and it will be very hard to get into the police service because of tests and obtaining a drivers license. My life has turned around not just because of ambitions, but i also find it hard to accept and am always on edge when going to parties etc.My seizures and not caused my lights but are caused my sleep deprevation and heat.
Please will anyone post comments parents, people who have the same problem etc.
Many thanks Ryan.

Both my son and daughter were fine till each turned 15. Drs say puberty kicked in the E. They have JME and its typical not to show its ugly head till then : ) Either way, the main thing is to be good to you and find the things you enjoy. You wanted to go into police work but cant. Maybe do something related to police work that will make you happy. Like forensics, prison guard, journalist/photographer for crime events, or investigations. THe beauty of life is there are so many things we find BUT there is so much more still to come. Hang in there. E is just one of the things you are like your hair hair, eye color, it does NOT define who you are : )
enjoy your day

Hi Ryan and hang in there. My son also wanted to go into the Marines here and wont be able too. Its unfortunate but there are many other things you can do. They say, when one door closes another door opens. I wish you well.
