Hi to you all-
I'll try to make this brief and see if you all have any ideas. My husband and I have been together for 7 years. We're looking to have a child now. My husband in the last 4 years has been dianosised with epilesy and now is on anti-seizure meds- trilepthal and lyrica. It wasn't until we were looking to have a child that we noticed that basically to put it bluntly- he really has no sex drive and no desire to have sex. We use to have no problem having sex and the frequency was fine. We have an excellent relationship and he is very loving. His primary doctor didn't really have any solutions- it's not a viagra issue. We haven't talked to his neurologist yet. We really want to concieve a child in the next year. This is making both of us very sad. Any solutions of what we can do? What we should try? Please help- we'd really like to have a child.

I know exactly how you feel as im in the same boat.
My husband is epileptic too since he was a child. Our sexual relation was never "normal" due his lack of interest.
Besides low libido, he also started to have erection problem which lead to even less desire.
Of course at the time we had no idea why this was happening.We never thought it could be the aed until we decided to have a baby.
But how could we even try if there was this problem from his side??? We had lots of arguments because i didn't know about his problem.for me it was just him not been interested :(
Then i started to read all the leaflets about the medication he was on and done plenty of research on the net till i find my answers.
Only after having proof that aed CAN affect man libido,sperm count/mobility that we decided to talk to his neurologist. We wanted to be prepared just in case he says that it has nothing to do with aed.
So right now he is on viagra and we will go for IVF.
Oh and he was on phenytoin.right now he is on keppra and tegretol retard.

Some med's also create an increase in libido. I am on Lamictial and the increase has been quite definitive.
So, perhaps his neurologist can come up with a different medicine/combination than now. I don't know of any epileptic that takes the same exact dosage and mixture of med's than another. The medication is very individulized.

Some anti-seizure drugs do lower the sex drive, perhaps he needs to switch meds. I've done a search on the internet, and while it's hard to find, it's definitely there. I don't have any words of advice, but it's something you should bring up with his doctor. This topic has come up on these boards before, maybe you can go back and search for the posts. Wish I had more information for you.
