Take control of your epilepsy and seizures. Seizure management has never been easier.
TAKE CONTROL TODAYHi,
I have had 3 seizures (at least I think they're seizures, I am making an appointment to see a neorologist today) in the past 2 years. The first two happened while in an argument with my dad and the last one (two weeks ago) happened after getting two narcotic shots for a severe migraine. All 3 episodes were identical. First off, I feel light headed and dizzy and then I start to feel a lot of pressure in my head and my eyes. My vision goes blurry and then I loose consciousness. According to my dad (who saw the first two) and my boyfriend (who saw the last one) my eyes roll back in my head and my body goes completely limp. My whole body starts to convulse. I wake up confused and weak. I've also hit my head VERY hard two of the times and end up with a pretty good bump. The following two days are fustrating, as I feel "out of it." I can't concentrate or think clearly.
I am nervous to be put on medication. I havn't heard the best things. Are there other options?

hi im 12 and i have seziures and this might sound werid from a 12 year old but just think positive about everything and it is going to be ok :)
hey chica,
sounds to me like seizures, but i think think you're doing just right by going to see a neuro, hope it goes/went well..sounds like clonic/tonic clonic seizures, they sound very similar to my bad ones, you're very lucky to have people around you who can handle it all and be there for you :O) so happy days.. as for the medication, i think ever drug has its side-effects, and the only way to find out whats good for you and whats not is to try them.. i think we all go through different meds before we find one or two that agree with us, butim sure you'll get there... there is something they call the ketogenic diet, i have never tried it, (i could never do it, lol).. some say it works, and some says it doesnt, i guess there's only one way to find out...below is a link where you could read a bit about it, as i dont know very much...

i hope all works out for you..
