Vimpat and Pregnancy
Wed, 05/14/2014 - 12:15I was wondering if anyone on the forum has been pregnant while on Vimpat. It's a newer drug so there isn't much research to look at. I've had epilepsy for over 20 years but would like to pursue a pregnancy. I spoke to my neurologist but she agrees that there isn't much to say about the drug yet. Any feedback would be appreciated! Hi I know it is a new medication. I also know that testing is still being done on it as testing is done on all medication. Vimpat is a brand name of lacosamide.... Once a medication is created for certain kinds of seizures the medication is then tested on other types and kinds of seizures. You might find out more by checking out lacopsamide. I know most of what I have posted becasue I have been in drug studies for said medications and others I hope this helps Joe
