Vaccinations while pregnant

Wed, 04/20/2016 - 14:19
Hi all, I am looking for some feedback on this topic. I am 29 weeks pregnant and taking Levetiracetam (so far it has work for me). I experience once in a while tonic clonic seizures. At the OBN/GYN they have told me yesterday about the Tdap vaccine. I read the information statement and it says that besides talking to your doctor if having epilepsy, there are people who should avoided if in the past had seizures after pertussis vaccine. In my case I have no way to test if some seizures I had were due to a vaccine. I wonder if someone had same questions, had the vaccine and if everything went alright after having the shot. I had already a seizure during this pregnancy and I am pondering the risk of having a second one due to a vaccine that I also may need. Any experiences to share out there? Thanks! Espe

The person to call on this

The person to call on this issue is your neurologist. It shouldn't take a visit but yes ask him/her.
