Natural hospital birth w/ midwife?

Mon, 10/31/2016 - 19:43
I will be starting a family within the next year hopefully and I wanted to get some feedback from ladies who have already had children. My epilepsy is well controlled and had been for 10 years( lamictal) my neurologist put me on that medicine back when I was a teen because it is one of the safest for pregnant women as she doesn't want me to go off my meds and I agree. I would love to have a natural birth and the hospital my OB delivers at has midwives and doctors so I could have a midwife instead of my doctor, has anyone done this? Also has anyone had a natural birth ie; no drugs and not hooked up to iv's? I want to have it as natural as possible. I'd love to hear your labor experiences and especially if you've used a midwife!
