hi, my name is Lupe I was diagnosed with JME when I was 15 I am 39 now I was on Depakote for over 16 years and worked very well I was seizure free. I always wanted to get pregnant but Depakote was never the right med. my dr now switched me to Lamotrigine and the jerks came back, I'm now on combination with clonazepam and still getting the jerks once in a while. My question to you ladies, any one with JME had a baby under Lamotrogine? Did it work? Any seizures during pregnancy or after? Healthy baby? Need an advice, I am 39 and can't get older and need to make this decision now but I am very scare. Don't want to go back to tonic-clonic/ grand mal seizures after so long and I don't want to be responsible of having a unhealthy baby:( need an advice please!!!!
