I totaled my Car
Thu, 01/21/2016 - 12:23Has anyone else had a seizure while driving? My neurolgist's PA sort of shrugged it off, and said you can drive in 3 months (I live in Texas). I have never had a seizure while driving. It was just an abscense seizure, usually I am aware during them. They seem to be getting worse, and I keep doing weird things during them. I sprayed room deoderizer in my mouth a week ago. Day before yesterday I stopped myself from buying a woolcoat on ebay. I was aware of what I was doing and everything.
I have an appointment tommorow with the neurologist.

Tell him what happened and the other things you have done. Just because you had an aura (a seizure in itself) and absence seizure that does not mean you can't have other seizures. Inform him of the car accident. Yes doctors will want you to not drive for a certain period of time until you go x number of moths without a seizure. What is going 3 months without a seizure compared to someone's death in a car accident because someone had a seizure while driving?
