Dealing with Epilepsy While Pregnant

Fri, 07/15/2016 - 23:05
I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with my first child. As of recently, I have been having a lot of auras. Today was very different. I actually had a full blown out seizure with a tingling sensation in my stomach, I was moving my head from side to side, nausea amongst other symptoms. It was terrifying to me. I have anxiety and depression due to my seizure disorder and that has put me through a lot of stress. Plus, my doctors have slowly taken me off of Keppra due to the fact that I was having bad side effects from it. That may also be a contributing factor to my increased seizures. I'm just so anxiety ridden that it has put me in a different head space. I should be happy because I'm having a baby. It's not like that. I find that meditation has helped me somewhat. I've just recently been going to a psychologist about coming to terms with my epilepsy. I have been dealing with this since I was 2 years old. It's never ending. I'm trying my best to stay positive. Has anyone else went through this before?
