Birth Control????
Thu, 07/09/2015 - 14:53Hi ladies! I'm a 19 year old female diagnosed with JME 3 years ago with month actually. I've been on the same medication but different dosages since my diagnosis. An offbrand drug called Zonisamide, brand name Zonegran. With any drug of course there are side effects and precautions and with this drug I can't take birth control which was never an issue until now. If I were to get pregnant, my baby could have serious birth defect because of zonisamide plus I AM WAY TO YOUNG TO HAVE A BABY haha. So basically what I'm asking is there any ladies out there who are on drugs for seizures and any type of birth control? This way I can be prepared for when I go to my next appointment! Thank you for your help in advance.
