Care For Us Vets. ?

Fri, 01/16/2015 - 17:43

I began getting seizures after a bad horse riding accident. I was told it was due to the bad head trama I went through. Any how I was being taken care of at a clinic where they had a contract with the V.A. to care for us vets. The doctor I used to see would check my med. levels often to asure they were good to go. If not he would make changes in the intake of my meds. I had noticed that when one of my med. levels were on the low end is when I'd have my seizure's. My body would feel weak and I felt like I had been up for days , just so , so tired. Now the V.A. has brought in their own doctors to this clinic , and because of my age the V.A. doctor tells me she will only see me once a year ? Also that she will have my med. level checked only once every 6 months ? What a crock !!!! I had one refill left on my hydro pain pills but they would not refill them for me ? So I went on my own to another doctor to get something for my pain and was given something and funny thing is that 2 days later I get the same pills from the V.A. doctor who has never treated me for the pain I am going through ? Not because I myself am a vet. but I do believe that we vets. should be treated a lot better than we are. At this clinic where I go to the V.A. has already sent down like 4-5 different doctors for this erea ? " Why can't we vets. get the treatments we were told we would recieve after serving our country ? "
