Hi, I'm on Trileptal and I just had my son 3 weeks ago. He is perfect! My dr. did put me on a higher dosage though, just to keep up with the increased blood flow. I am not epileptic though. My seizures are caused from scar tissue in my brain. Make sure and discuss everything with your dr. before trying to get pregnant! Good luck!

Hi anna, You aren't

Hi anna, You aren't epileptic, but you have seizures caused by scar tissue in the brain & take Tripeptal an anti-epilepy drug (AED)? http://www.epilepsy.com/medications/b_trileptal_intro.html What causes epilepsy: http://www.epilepsy.com/101/ep101_cause.html "The word "epilepsy" does not indicate anything about the cause of the person's seizures, what type they are, or how severe they are." http://www.epilepsy.com/101/ep101_epilepsy.html Welcome the community & congrats on your new son ~sol
