Simple Absence Seizuers returned

Tue, 09/16/2014 - 11:46

My son is 13.  He was diagnosed with simple absence seizures when he was 9.  Last March, he was completely weaned off of his medication and was seizure free (to our knowledge) until August.  We are seeing them again.  I am obviously concerned that they appeared to be gone, then returned.  Is this common?  Is it his age?  Anyone else have this experience?

I have FLE and have recently

I have FLE and have recently been reading about absence seizures since I feel that I may be getting them. It is common for kids with epilepsy to have these. I think it's younger teens and below are the most common and older teens are less common. Sorry I can't help more I've only read about it a few times.
