ROLANDIC epilepsy??

Allright... so my neurologist told me that I have rolandic epilepsy. I know this means that I have a chance of my epilepsy going away, but does anyone have any statistics or anything on how good my chances are? I've had epilepsy for about 3 years now (no seizure for the last 18 months!)... and right now my neurologist is saying that if I go for another year without a seizure, she'll take me off of the meds. Woohoo! Again, any info on rolandic epilepsy would be great. -Mandi

Mandi, What were your symptoms when you were having seizures? Did you have them at one particular time of the day? what was the frequency? and what happened during the seizure? Thanks,

my daughter was just diagnosed with rolandic epilepsi she is 5 years old and the DR. did tell me that they will go away he will try to stop her meds in her early teens she is on tegretol 100 mg for now. you give me hope if it is just 3 years for you good luck my joy
