I have a daughter age 13 diagnosed with JME for almost a year.  Is there some of you out there that can chat with her about it?  Currently she tries to hide it and doesn't like to talk about it all. She also suffers from depression and severe anxiety.  I'm researching the link between the JME and her depression as I think they are connected.   I think it would be great for her to make new friends she can maybe talk to...You can find her on FB-Ashlee Baker, she has a photo of Kurt Cobain on her profile pick.  Please message her and say hello :)

Thank you

Mom, Monika

Hi I have had JME since I was 14. I complete understand how she feels. However there is good news. According to my neurologist- most JME patients develop Grand Mal's at 18 and then by age 36 to 40 their seizures start to go away.  So something to look forward to :)
