I need a new charm, but all to ugly.

Sun, 08/01/2010 - 17:42

I'm nineteen years old and I need to get either a medical alert bracelet, anklet, ect. I was diagnosed when I was about 11-12 I've only had two and probably only worn them twice each. A main reason is because they are ugly. I'm not the most fashionable girl in the world, but at least I want to look decent in it.

So the question is: I need jewlery of any price for a NINETEEN year old girl/teen can you help me please?

Pickiness: no red! I hate the color red (charm) and I know that red is probably a universal "red alert" color, but I don't like it. Black is also not a strong forte of my liking. I am also not into just plain chains. I don't like velcro. To be honest I'm into beeds a lot but I'm open to everything else. But one of the most important thing to be is discretion, I know the charm has to be noticeable enough, but I do NOT want a red charm.

 Thanks a lot!

Uncann;

You're 19, in style, want to look good, but let your friends know you have any seizure disorder or Epiepsy because if you do--your not sure how they will take it.

Face the facts --- The reason you need to get a MEDICAL RED TAG is because if you go into a seizure the paramedics know what to do.  If you are on meds, there is a # on the medical tag which gives them all the medical info, they need TO SAVE YOUR LIFE !! They do not know you are on drugs, drinking or having a reaction to a medication or something else, they need to know

I wear a necklace with a long chain & it has Epilepsy & Heart Condition on it. If I ever have a medical problem occur, which I haven't, it is covered. Because my friends don't know what meds I take or how much, but with that #, the medical team & doctors will, if it ever needed & that could mean the difference between life or death.

Don't act proud, be smart -- be a leader -- get the red medical tag in a necklace.

I know. and all my friends know too I haven't had problems telling people since I was fourteen. Out of my own choosing I wanted to get a medical ID. I needed one and the best way for everyone's nerve is to have something that tells medics what I have if anything should happen. Even still I wanted to get something that I liked. Why should I wear something that I don't like? I didn't want a lecture about what I should and should not do. I wanted someone to tell me options of what I liked. AND that was verified as a medical tag. You're right though, I'm nineteen in college and I want to look good without something red showing. I don't know many adults who want to look bad in IDs. I don't like the color red and I don't want to wear something that is red. All my friends know and I informed each professor and the campus security.

I got my pretty beaded bracelet from Fiddledee IDs. www.fiddledeeids.com

They also have a facebook page that you can check for discounts: Fiddledee IDs Medical ID Jewelry.

There are a lot of good websites out there with nice looking jewelry. Happy shopping!
