Tue, 01/04/2005 - 04:24Hey Justin i'm Robyn, i'm 20 yrs old and live in Australia!
I was diagnosed with JME when i was 12. I'm currently on Lamictal and was on 300mg a day but its now been upped to 500mg a day. I had been seizure free for the last 2 years, but in the last 2 months the petit mal seizures have come back. i went to see my neuro and after he increased my dosage he said that if the seizures continued then we'd have to do some tests.
Well i cancelled my plans to go out new years eve cos i was exhausted, and luckily i did cos the saturday morning i had a grand mal seizure! (and scared the shit out of my dad) and was taken to hospital in an ambulance, great start to the new year!!!!
Anyway ever since i had the grand mal i havent had anymore seizures not even any shakes. Im going back to see my neuro on the 18th Jan but i was wondering if you would be able to shed some light on this or even just tell me about your type of epilepsy and the medication your on!
