To Drink or Not To Drink

Thu, 04/26/2007 - 00:25
Haha... a few days ago I went drinking. It's like so bad for my epilepsy thing. I give up. I don't care to take care of this seizure thing when I'm having a fun time. Ya, it's dangerous for me, but I don't care! Epilepsy can't stop my fun. Everyone likes having fun right? This epilepsy thing, it's not in control of my life cuz I choose things in my life for myself. I'm with friends so they'll know what to do when I have a seizure. It's not like I went drinking by myself.Anyone here objects this drinking thing? Because you can try going drinking and pretend that nothing would happen and that you don't have seizures just like me. ~Sophs

I don't drink

I quit drinking because as much as Epilepsy has screwed up my life, I won't let alcohol be the reason as to why I have a seizure. When it comes to drinking, I simply just don't do it. This way, I don't have to ask myself if it was the drinking that caused me to have a seizure, that factor is eliminated.

LKC   I miss the party

LKC   I miss the party days too

I liked going to bars after work having beers and chicken wings. As I got older I liked nice big glasses of wine several times a week. (We all read that wine is good for you.) But with the big S's I may have a 3.2 beer once a month and if I have wine it is a small amount and I take about 3 hours to drink it. The big S's are your life like it our not and there are many worse things. I like to drive, board, hang with my fam, and many other things. That can all be taken from you. Drinking several drinks almost always causes me to have even a small seizure with in several days and those hurt. I hate being mentally lost even for seconds. It sure isn't the same as the "high" from drinking. So I have a blast at the bars and parties. There is much more to it then the booze and you learn that when your life just about ends and you get another chance. Think about it, party, have a great time, the booze isn't it. "It" is you and life.
