Anyone out there who has Epilepsy, but is not on A.E.D.s?

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone else out there has Epilepsy, but is not taking any Anti-Epileptic Drugs? I have had such terrible side-effects from Anti-Epileptic Drugs that I won't take them anymore (my doctors know; I discussed it with them first, don't worry!)! :( Sodium Valproate made my hair fall out and Lamotrigine made me SO exhausted that I could barely function! Plus, it gave me a bad rash on my face! :( I have a lot of health problems and therefore, am on a fair amount of meds and I just can't keep taking meds with side-effects like this! :( Seriously, I would rather have seizures than have all my hair falling out! I am not at all appearance conscious, but got sick and tired of being afraid to wash my hair and having to pick hair off of my clothing everday! :( Thanks and keep well! :)

Hi i'm not taking any meds right now but they also haven't prescibed anything yet but that sounds terrible. I mean i am not appearence consious either but i would hate to be losing my hair. I hope you find another med that makes your seizures stop and doesn't make you lose your hair!! Dana O'Toole

Hi Dana! Well, I'm now on Clobazam (10mg at night) for Epilepsy. So far, it's working very, very well! :) Thanks very much for your response! :) Keep well! :)

It can take up to several wks for a drug to start working controlling seizures. My seizures never been fully controlled so that doesn't mean u will either taking the meds. I know from past experiences in my life. Belinda
