I have been on Keppra since April after I had several partial complex seizures due to a brain tumor. I was on 300mg Dilantin at that time and they added 1000 mg of Keppra. After that I continued to have very mild seizure activity that seemed to only affect my one foot and leg. Usually on a day that I had one sz I had a second a few hours later. I couldnt seem to go for more that a week without this problem. I was kept on the Dilantin and the Keppra was increased to 2000mg. per day. I have problems with the Dilantin from the start but the Dr. doesnt want to take me off it until I am sz free. He recently upped my Keppra to 2500mg per day along w/ the Dilantin 300mg. I have been ten days w/o sz activity which is a new record for me. So things seem to be improving. One thing I would suggest you do if on Keppra is to always take w/ food as it had made me nauseated very badly until I did that. I am working at the present time although I become extremely fatigued very easily. I take one day at a time. That is all anyone can do. Nice to be able to talk to someone who has some medical issues in common. I am a 53 year old woman who has a lust for life.

YES! KEPPRA HAS SAVED MY LIFE, LITERALLY! If your not on Keppra Id talk to your doc bought it. I used to be on Lamictal. The side effects were really bad and it didnt help my seizures that much. Ever since ive been on Keppra ive had a 96% seizure reduction rate. BEST of luck and wishes to you. I know how you feel.
