Advice for young kids

Can any of you teens relate to an 8 year old girl having siezures and Cerebral Palsey? I am her Aide in school for going on 3 years and now she is refusing to use all the modifications and tools she needs for school work and also bucks wearing her braces now. How can I help her in 3rd grade next year? Help me understand where her emotional state is at this age and how to talk with her without causing a rift? Come Spetember she is getting a new desk and chair that will look soo very different from the other kids. I just know she is going to hate it but she needs them. How can I help her transistion and feel good about herself? She is a great kid and fearless to try new things but she fears most what other kids think of her. Perhaps some of you have been thru this? Love and light, Healer

Hi my name is Gina and I have had epilepsy since i was 8 mounths old. When I was from 7 to 9 years old I was really sick at that time with seizures. I got picked on, struggled in school and had the worst seizures and side effects from the meds every day. I had so much trouble at that time. all that I can tell you is that you should talk to her and make her feel very happy for who she is because there are other kids out there her age that have justs as bad of epilepsy as her or maybe even worse. Most of all what she should hope for is a merickle. Right before I went to the surgery room I told myself I will be happy weather I live with no more seizures or just less or die and go to a better place. You can talk to me when ever you want. I hope she feels better. K.I.T Take care Love Gina Email me at happydaisy007@yahoo.com
