wada test price?

Sun, 01/01/2006 - 20:01
I'm thinking about having surgery to remove a scar from my brain. Of course the scar is whats causing me to have seizures. I'm just curious how much a wada test cost? I heard that you have to have a wada test done for the DR. to figure out if its a good idea to have surgery. Can someone please tell me how much the test cost? Thanks, Eric

Hi Eric, I wish I had some answers for you on the cost of this test. Unfortunately, I have not had the WADA done, so have nothing to respond with. However, I would check with the office that would do the WADA test, and if unable to give you a cost, check with your insurance company. They usually have a standard payment amount that they will pay for each procedure. Good luck, and I hope you are an excellent candidate for surger. Keep us posted, okay? you can call the hospital for their charges. A wada test is done in the xray department, usually, but you will also have additional charges for the radiologist and either a neuropsychologist, neurologist or epileptologist. You will have to call each physicians office for their charges. I can tell you one thing, it isn't cheap!
