vns replacement battery

Mon, 11/10/2014 - 09:56
Hi, I'm new to using this site so I hope I'm doing it correctly. I had my vns implanted at the age of 14 in 2003. On Thursday Nov 6th 2014 I got a battery replacement. About 3 years ago I started experiencing pain in my chest...the battery had actually moved from its pocket and would "float" around inside me. It caused a great deal of pain. When I went in for the new battery, they had to remove a great deal of scar tissue and a chunk of muscle that was damaged from the few years of it floating around inside me. Has anyone else had this type of experience? I was told I now have nerve damage and my pain will still be there even after the new battery was put in/secured back down. It is very severely painful and limits my use of my left arm. Reaching overhead using my left arm is a big no-no and essentially I feel as though I only have ONE arm.
