VNS REPLACEMENT

Thu, 11/08/2012 - 07:06

Hello ,  My Name is Manny, if their are any Doctors out their or anyone who had problems with the VNS, or Manufacturer.

My  Daughter started having seizures when she was 18 months old,  She had a normal child hood until she received her DPT SHOT at the age of 18 months old and thats when she started having seizures..  she had been on more meds that i can not name cause i am at the boiling point.....

She Started with the VNS at the age of 5 yrs old. not a problem at all.  she got the inplant  at Childrens Hospital in Philadelphia..

She even had it replaced since then 3 times with no problems.

Last January  we had to get her VNS replaced.  then about 3 1/2 weeks later  we noticed that the wire came exposed.    My Daughter  noes not jump or could do anything  that can make the device move.

about  5 months ago  the again  the wire twisted in her and again she had to operated on again to  place it back.

This was the 4th operation since the 1st one back in January 2011.

Tuesday we had to take her back to chop because not her skin started changing colores.  we had to get her operated again. all they did was removed the unit.  clean and place it back it,  and then yesterday she was suppose to be released and they had to check the UNIT and it WAS DEAD.  no response on their computer did it several times, with nothing.  So today they will have to operate on her again 5th time . sorry if i lost count.  So what they attend to do is put a brand new device in, defferent place, this time will be located right side of her chest at the present time was only on the left above her breast bone.

I could use some advise if anyone had the same problems or what should i do. Any good Lawyers out their.

Thanks going out of my head

MANNY
