Temporal Lobe Resection

Wed, 12/07/2005 - 20:34
Hi. First time here. I've had "diagnosed" epilepsy for about 8 years. I don't consider it a "pain", but my doc wants me to do this test next week where they take me off my meds and MRI, EEG, PET SCAN, etc., to see where the focal point is in my brain, and then I (if nec) op to get a Temporal Lobe Resection. Anyone had this done? Was it worth it? Oh, I'm extremely claustrophic and I can't see myself staying in that thing for an hour. I want to know, but I don't want to gooo (mri). Suggestions, etc.? Thanx!
