Surgey or No Surgey?

Sat, 08/27/2011 - 11:39
I have had problems controlling my seizures since senior year of high school after being taken off Dilantin and they've been getting worse everytime I've been transferred to another doctor who has either upped my does on a medication or put me on a new one.Due to the fact that my medication hasn't been working since my seizures are getting worse(my mom sometimes blames it on wrestling due to the flashing lights),my neurologist along with the nurse believes the surgery could help. The only problem is that the part of my brain where the seizures are where the seizure come from the most is to be the side that controls my memory & speech. Is it too big of a risk to take or is it worth it?I don't know whether it is or not because I don't wanna keep going through life keeping on having seizures that are controlling my life, but I don't want to have a bad speech problem along with not remembering who the people I care about are.
