I had a RT loboctomy due to epilepsy.  I was anxious to be cured of ep. & off anti-convulsant drugs. After I was weaned off Lamictal I had a couple of seizures.  In retrospects, I think the seizures were due to rushing the, "healing process".  I was put back on Lamictal & another AED.

In my opinion, WE, are our worst enemy due to preconceived fears of losing our memories & misconceived expectations in terms of 'recovery/success'  rate.

Be kind to yourself.  Your brain needs the crutch (anti-epileptic drugs) while it's healing from surgery.  Heal slow.     To date,  I'm off all anti-epileptic drugs.   RTLoboctomy was a success.  Nothing wrong with my memory nor my learning capabilities.   I've  run our own Business since 1992.   Yes,,, like any surgery, there are minor challenges to cope with while recuperating but,,, that's life.  A small price to pay for realitive independance.

Live well
