Nerves/Anxiety effects after surgery

Thu, 10/31/2013 - 15:33

I have temporal lobe epilepsy, and I've finally had surgery two weeks ago. According to the surgeon, everything has gone well, and I'm back home again now, to recover for the next couple of months.

I'm having some issues with remembering peoples names, etc. which is fine as I knew this might happen in advance, and the doctors told me they'll check this in two months to see how it recovers. My main question is that some days I find I feel quite nervous for no reason: I'm staying at home, with family, I'm quite safe, but I still feel edgy and anxious. I'm just wondering if anyone else who's gone through surgery has had a similar situation, and how you deal with it? Or does it go away over time?

Thanks,

Hi, I just had surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am feeling the same way. I need to talk to the doctor I think. I feel nervous all the time when I go places and cry a lot. I thought It was just myself.
