Meg scan

Mon, 10/31/2016 - 12:13
I had the left temporal lobectomy about 20 years ago. They removed my left temporal lobe and hippocampus minus a small area and speech part of my brain . I have been seizure free but still must take medication every day. I read today that a new test they have called MEG Test A MEG scan is noninvasive, painless and safe for all ages, with no injections, radioactivity or strong magnetic fields. Has anyone had this test? Can it tell me where the speech is located? And is it an alternative to test to the Wada test?

I getting ready to go into

I getting ready to go into surgery in about one month.  I took the MEG scan but did not take the WADA test.  I am not sure that I will have to do language mapping or not but the MEG is an easy test although it took about 4 to 5 hours.
