Home Aftercare from surgery

Tue, 09/27/2011 - 22:56
I went in for my right temp lob surgery on Sept 14th. The pain has reduced drastically, I haven't noticed any changes in my brain functions just yet and my energy level is so low. I sleep all the time. My question to everyone is did everyone needed help after coming home? Did you have to go live with family/friends for support? Is it better to live with others so you have someone else to look over you? Is it safe to live on your own and recovering from the surgery? At this time I'm staying with my sister. I actually have my own apartment but I decided to stay with family for help. Its been two weeks and it just stresses me out to see how much I'm a burden to my sister. She is a RN and works 14 hour shifts. She then comes home to check up on me and then cooks. I begin to wonder if I can actually recover on my own at my own apartment.

I had RTL surgery on May 5, 2011 at The Spine & Brain Institute here in Las Vegas, NV. I have been seizure free since and my meds have been reduced by half.  My Father and I live together right now and don't think I would have been able to function on my own, I'm lucky here was able to be here for me. We've been here for each other in one way or another for the past few years, hopefully now after my RTL surgery and hopefully, further seizure control, I will be able to better care for myself. My Epilepsy being uncontrolled has taken a huge toll on mine and my Father's lives. Hopefully, I can keep my seizures controlled and him not have to worry about me being on my own. My Father worked a lot of long, hard years to get where he is, he deserves to enjoy his retirement and not have to care for me, I am truely lucky and thankful he has been here for me. I need to get on my feet and live the life that uncontrolled Epilepsy has taken away from me. The sooner I can, the better it will be for both of us and the more I do, the better I feel.

Starting today, Facebook will no longer allow admins of new pharma pages to disable commenting on the content their page shares with people on Facebook,” Facebook told pharmas in a May 17 email  on its blog. “Pages that currently have commenting disabled will no longer have this entitlement after August 15th. Subject to Facebook’s approval, branded pages solely dedicated to a prescription drug may (continue to) have commenting functionality removed.”  Analytical Reasoning Book
