Headache Remedies

Mon, 03/02/2015 - 13:38

Hello all,

I underwent left temporal lobectomy surgery in 2011 and have been having powerful headache 24/7.  My doctors prescribes pain killers, but they have severe side effects.  Thus, I take over-the-counter ones with less severe side effects other than stomach discomfort (it’s not a problem as long as I don’t have an empty stomach), but both prescription and OTC pain medicines don’t work.

Do you have remedies other than medications?

Thank you.

My daughter suffered with bad

My daughter suffered with bad headaches and migraines for a couple of years. She tried different medications through the headache clinic at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. It was then suggested that she try Botox injections, and they worked wonderfully. They say that the second round works the best, but she was unable to get them due to surgical candidacy testing. Hope this helps.
