I am proud to announce the release of my autobiography "Free at Last, My Lifetime Battle to Overcome Epilepsy" by Lisa-Marie Kinsman. Press Release from PublishAmerica: Frederick, MD June 1, 2007---PublishAmerica is pround to present Free at Last: My Lifetime Battle to Overcome Epilepsy by Lisa-Marie Kinsman of Ulster, Pennsylvania. In her poignant memoir, Kinsman relates the pains and trials she experienced growing up with epilepsy. Kinsman states: "Doctors were so ignorant and uneducated back in the 1960's. They thought Mom was just neurotic when she told them that I was having these "staring spells" before the age of two. I wouldn't be officially diagnosed with epilepsy until two years later. I was warned countless times as a teenager to do everything I had to do to avoid getting pregnant or my baby would look like a freak show at the circus. I moved down to Pennsylvania in 1991, where I met Glen. We were married two years later. In 1993, I would meet three angels up at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, who would change my life forever. On December 15, 1994, I would undergo fifteen and a half hours of brain surgery while I was fully awake. My recovery period was sheer hell, due to my lack of faith in doctors." Kinsman is married and living in Pennsylvania, and has been an epilepsy advocate/counselor online to over sixteen hundred clients since 1995. She has been chosen to be an inspirational speaker several times over the past three years on behalf of the Epilepsy Foundation. The book can be purchased at: www.publishamerica.com and www.amazon.com
