My daughter just started this last night. She's 4.5 yrs. I see the post about the rash that some kids got. I'm worried about that but I guess we will see. She has tolerated it very well so far, much better than her first doses of Topamax. She had a great night's sleep and is feeling fine this morning.

Thank you for your reply. I am sorry about your daughter's rash but I am glad to hear it is not so common. We had a very good first night. I hope it continues.

Update - it's the 3rd dose and she is handling it very well! So far so good. She is a little emotional but nothing like with the topamax. I am feeling cautiously hopeful.

I think that the rash isn't that common with the Zonegran and my daugther getting it was a surprise to her neuro even. It's just a risk with all medications and some people react to it and some don't. I'm sure you guys will have good luck with it, other than the rash it was a really good one for my daugther.
