Who has the BEST Diagnostic Program?

Tue, 09/23/2014 - 13:31

I've been doing this for quite some time and am looking for help again.  About us... my son is 6.  He's had seizures forever, since the day he was born.  Our story has been intractable seizures, poor development etc... Currently his seizures are pretty well controlled.  Seizures are not his worst problem although he does have some breakthrough.  He is 6, nonverbal, developmentally around 1 year of age, many sensory issues, poor cognition, poor development all together.  He is a mystery.  NObody has ever diagnosed him with anything meaningful, we still have no idea why.  MRI's are normal.  EEG's are angry and show potential for seizing all over (Symptomatic Generalized Epilepsy) but again we don't know WHY.  At this point, I want to try again.  I see potential in him for more learning and I want to give him the best possible.

I'm looking for a hospital that invests in research and diagnosis.  Specifically somewhere that uses the "brain bucket" or 7 Tesla MRI and of course has fantastic doctors.  Jesse's health is good, he is happy, we don't have anger or behavior problems, he's not medically fragile anymore but I still want to know WHY!

Your advise and wisdom are greatly appreciated! :)
