Visions due to seizure meds?

Mon, 09/14/2015 - 10:51

Hi! I'm a little confused and hope someone can help. In the last week my  9 year old daughter has had what she calls a "vision". It is recurring and is very frightening and violent. It doesn't make sense, because she is a very peaceful, happy child, and we are very careful about what she watches on TV or computer. We are decreasing her seizure meds, so she is on a low dose of Depakote and Clonopin, the lowest she's ever been on.

Has anyone else experienced this?

My guess would be a hallucination from the Klonopin or one of those rare partial seizures that causes a drastic temporary emotional & behavioral reaction. Definitely worth mentioning to your neuro.
