My 6 yr old son was diagnosed with epilepsy last year and has been on zonisamide since. He has done well with the meds until recently. We have noticed he seems to have a lot of anxiety around large groups of people and hasn't wanted to play with his friends as much. If he does play with his friends he does so for 15-20 min then wanders off by himself for a while. We have discussed this with his neuro and they have added vitamin B6 for 2 weeks to see if this helps. Last night we were getting ready to have dinner, my son got his plate and next thing I know he's laying in a chair in the living room. My husband went to see what was up and He wouldn't talk to us or make eye contact. Like he just wasn't there. There were no tick or atomism's, he was blinking and breathing normal. Husband picked him up and it was like he was extremely weak and tired. It was just very strange and unlike anything he has done. Would this be some type of seizure?
