Seizure clusters

Hi again....I am curious about 'clusters' of seizures in other kids. In the last 6 months, if my son has a seizure on a given day, whether big or 'small', it is pretty likely that he will continue to have activity throughout the day. We have gotten to the point where even if he has one seizure, we give him an Ativan (.5mgs tablet)in hopes of preventing any more. Usually the next day he is perfectly fine, alert and happy and no sign of seizing at all. He just seems to have these occassional 'bad days'. When he first started with E, he would have one seizure, and then it would be weeks until he had another one. Now he seems to go in cycles of every other week, he has one 'bad day', with multiple seizures - which the Ativan seems to take care of. He's just out of it for the day which bothers me because it's like he 'lost' a day of his life....
Anyone else experience this cluster of activity?

my daughter has had cluster seizures but when she does we will have alot of seizures for about a ten day period and then it goes away.we can have several months in between clusters.her last time was in feb.she was having 8-12 a day and this lasted for 10 days and then it stopped.

my daughter is 3 months and has about 20-26 clusters of seizures a day lasting anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 minutes and has not ever stop seizing since birth my first time giving her dastate was an hour ago i hope all goes well.

HI CINDY: I HAVE A 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, SHE HAD HER FIRST SEIZURE ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. AT FIRST SHE HAD MANY SMALL ONES, BUT AFTER WE TOOK HER TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEY GAVE HER IV MEDICATION (ATIVAN OR DYLANTIN) SHE WOULD STOP. SHE WOULD HAVE PERIODS OF 6 MONTHS SEIZURE FREE. SHE IS TAKING TRILEPTAL, BUT SINCE AUGUST OF 07 SHE HAS HAD EVERY MONTH 1 OR 2 EPISODES OF SEIZURES. THEY ARE IN CLUSTERS. YESTERDAY HER DR. GAVE US ATIVAN 2MG IN CASE SHE HAS A SEIZURE. WE ARE HOPING THIS WILL HELP HER STOP THE SEIZURES AND WE ARE HOPING IT WILL STOP US FROM GOING TO THE HOSPITAL. LAST SATURDAY SHE HAD 10 SMALL ONES AND 3 BIGGER ONES AND WE FEEL VERY SAD AND FRUSTRATED. FOR SOME REASON WE TRY TO GET USE TO IT BUT EVERYTIME IT SEEMS MUCH HARDER ON ALL OF US.
