Safety

Hello, My son is three years old and was diagnosed with myoclonic epilepsy. He does not lose consciousness but bangs his face and head off of everything. He constantly has nose bleeds, bruises and bumps on his face. I am so worried that he is going to lose his teeth or break his nose because we never know when he will have a seizure and he bucks his head with such force. Does anyone have any suggestions of some kind of product I might use other than a helmet to try and keep him safe? As we are nearing closer to starting school I am also wondering about something I can put on a table top. Thank you in advance for your advice. KKemp

I am not a parent of someone that has seizures. At times I wished I had been wearing a helmet when I had some of my seizures when I was a teen. Hey hitting the curb with my head can cause cuts that need stiches. I have had some of those. There will be several people who may answer your postI do know that this site has a 24/7 help line that anybody can call and they probably have information that some people may not have. That number is   1-800-323-1000SO they may have more information and yes anytime you or family and friends or anybody having questions can call that number
