Parents in doubt : Whether to choose Neurologist vs Pediatric Epileptologist
Wed, 03/16/2016 - 03:10Topic: Parents & Caregivers
My son is a month shy of his 3rd birthday. So far no milestones achieved, not even neck holding! We have been trying different drugs over past 2 years with out current neuro(before him couple of neuros), and no major improvements. As of now, my kid has occasional myoclonic jerks once or twice a day and the medication we give for myoclonic clearly seems to be not working as expected. Recently, the hospital where we take our son to, had appointed Pediatric Epileptologist. After talking to her couple of times, she seems to be good. Is it okay if I shift to her at this point of time? I am worried because I never knew about Pediatric Epileptologist and how effective they can be. Can you guys suggest me?
