New to the group

Hi, My name is Kathy, I am not new to the Epilepsy world. My 7 year old son has been having seizures since he was 10 months old. He has generalized tonic clonic. He is on Phenobarb, Lamictal, Clonodine, Valium, Rectal Diastat, Dextramphetmine, Seroqeul and also has the VNS. He has over the past several year, goes into rages. These rages have everyone in the house basically walking on egg shells. We are currently waiting for a bed in Bader 5 at Childrens. I have been kicked, punched, bitten, things thrown at me, things broken, and then he well apoligize over and over, until the next meltdown. I have asked his neuro numerous times, is it possible that these are seizures, he tells me no. Any input would be great. Kathy

I would say this sounds more like medication side effects than anything else, but still could be the sz's or a combination of both. You may want to research not just the side effect of each drug, but the possible effects of combining one or more of them. I'm 34 and I've had this my whole life, so I feel for him and you. Susan
