New to Forum

Hello. I am new to this forum. My daughter is 13 years old. She had her 1st seizure in Nov. 2016. We also found that she was having absence seizures. We are currently changing medications. Just wanting to get some support. We have a family vacation planned for next week & I am very nervous. My husband is more optimistic. We are going to Disney. I do not want to keep her from doing things. Her neurologist said go and have fun. She just said if you notice any absence seizures to be cautious about rides. As a mom I am always going to worry. Any suggestions for our trip?

welcome and have a great time! common triggers are stress, illness and being tired/poor sleep so make sure you get enough sleep. kids pick up on parent worry so aside from online support, find out if your local affiliate has programs and  do not skimp on self care for yourself.
