Need to feel better...

Wed, 08/22/2007 - 20:27
My beautiful daughter just recently had a seizure..and than 9 days later she had another. We went to see a neurology doctor and he said he would run tests on her. And I'm sooo scared. Can anyone give me words of encouragement? When she has a seizure only half of her face twitches so I think its called a partial seizure. They only lasted 20 seconds or less. What will happen if they put her on medication for them? Will she still be the same little girl I know..will they go away? Anyone who understands what I'm going through please write back... with love, Madisons Mommy..

Welcome to this site. It has helped me tremendously reading the postings of other parents. I hope it will help you too. My daughter was put on meds a couple of months ago and I had the exact same feelings. She is the sweetest child and to have the possibility of that changing was breaking my heart. Especially since I would be the one giving her the medicine. I basically talked to everyone who would listen including myself:) I also gathered all the info I could so that I could make the best choices. She is fine and has just started the 4th grade seizure free.!! Keep in contact if you can
