In need of EEG tips for almost 2 year old

Sat, 09/20/2014 - 23:23

We are going to do another EEG for my almost two year old. She had one a year ago but would not nap during it.

The EEG lab said no more than 5 hours of sleep for her the night before EEG. Her EEG is at 9 am. Normally she is up at 6:30 in the morning and won't nap until 2:30-3 pm. The lab suggested bed at 12 and up at 5 for her. Do you think she'd be ready for a nap at 9 AM then or would I be better with doing bed at 10 and up at 3?

What can I do with my daughter to keep her awake? We are going to go up the night before the EEG because we have a 3 hour drive. If we can get into the Ronald McDonald house we will stay there but if they are full we will stay with a family member. However with other kids in the house I was thinking of taking my daughter maybe directly to the hospital to do our morning wait. Does anyone have any great ideas on what I can do to keep my almost 2 year old daughter awake?
