My 9yo daughter and moods

Wed, 05/23/2007 - 16:45
Well tomorrow begins Ariana's 3rd week on Keppra and the final increase to 3ml 2x/day. She is also still taking 3ml of trileptal 2x/day until we start weaning her off next wk. Her neuro said if we can tolerate her, to keep the same path with the meds until she is off trileptal & he can see if keppra is helping. She has a couple of good days & then real bad ones. I just received another call at work from aftercare counselor. She is not listening, screaming, crying, defiant. Her teachers & aftercare counselors all know about the med changes but are losing patience. 2nd grade was very unproductive & they are pushing to have her in a different school in a self-contained classroom of 6 kids. She is already getting Special Ed help & stayed back in kindergarten. I dont know how long it is going to take to get her on a med that doesnt cause lack of concentration, behavior issues and aggressiveness. If the phone at work is for me I panic. Any suggestions would be great!
