Medication vs natural remedies

Sat, 08/19/2017 - 18:31
I am wondering if there's anyone out there that has opted to go a more natural route for preventing seizures vs the typical medication prescribed. I'm having a difficult time wrapping my head around giving my son a medication that could potentially have very serious negative side effects. He's 4, and has had 4 tonic seizures that last about 10-15 seconds in the past 2.5 years.

natural remedies are few and

natural remedies are few and far between or very individualized...there's diet therapy which works completely for some, helps some others take less medication, but doesn't work for everyone. diet therapy has been studied, they don't know why it works.there's specific diets for select people so one example for a small number going on a celiac friendly diet can do the trick.some people use supplements to help but I haven't heard of anyone no longer needing meds.cbd is actually a drug (which does not always play well with other AEDs and there are issues about that in strength and what you are getting beyond legal issues) so calling it natural does not stop it from being a powerful drug like others.what other natural remedies are you thinking of? if there were more working remedies, that would be news.
